How This Missouri Reference Works
Missouri has no single county booking portal for every arrest. Each sheriff or police agency keeps records for its own work and may choose whether to publish a roster or feed. The local roster is a public display choice, not a complete statewide inventory. After an arrest, the court or clerk holds the case events and final disposition.
The Missouri Department of Corrections (MODOC) is a separate source for people under state correctional supervision. Its offender search is not the county booking system. This site brings the state-level paths together and points visitors to the appropriate official county site or agency. It does not create, store, or display a gallery of booking photos.
What the Missouri Pages Cover
The page set follows the record from a county intake to a state or court source:
- The statewide home page explains arrest records, county roster differences, and how to request records; Most Wanted points to official active-warrant notices and safety guidance.
- The County Directory links to each Missouri county and the independent City of St. Louis, so visitors can find local official sources.
- Missouri mugshot law, historical archives, and documented cases explain how records, images, and court outcomes differ.
- The MODOC offender search covers state correctional supervision, while local county pages route to the booking sources maintained by each jurisdiction.
What This Site Cannot Do
This is a private reference project with no affiliation with a Missouri sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or other government agency. It cannot:
- take custody of, release, or transfer a person;
- post bond, arrange a visit, or send money to a facility;
- provide legal advice or file a record request for someone; or
- promise that an agency's contact details, fees, or records are current.
Only the responsible sheriff, police department, court, or MODOC can confirm its current custody, case, or release information. This site can point toward the official source, but the agency's own record is controlling.
Search Partners
Some search boxes are operated by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices, terms, and results. If a visitor follows a search tool to a paid signup, the site may receive a referral fee. These referrals help support free access to the reference pages, but they do not give the site control over a partner's charges or search output.
