Search Terms
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that runs that tool. Missouri Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may handle them under its own privacy policy and service terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send a message through a contact channel, the details you provide are kept so we can review and respond. They are not shared outside the organization unless the law requires disclosure. Please send only the information needed to identify the issue.
Technical Data and Cookies
When a page loads, basic technical details may be recorded, such as:
- the IP address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages opened and time spent on them;
- the referring site, when available; and
- the date and time of the visit.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the pages. Browser settings can block or remove cookies. Some site features may work differently if cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information supports the site and its search features. It may be used to:
- operate pages and keep them working well;
- send a search request to the relevant search partner;
- understand which pages visitors use;
- find errors or other technical problems; and
- show advertising that may relate to a visitor's interests.
Missouri Agencies and Outside Links
Pages may link to Missouri sheriff and jail rosters, MODOC, court portals, county sites, federal locators, and private search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy terms control its collection and use of information. A request for a government record is handled by that public body's custodian under Missouri's Sunshine Law, including RSMo ยง 610.023; this private site is not the custodian of sheriff, jail, or court files.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity across different websites and select ads. That tracking takes place through the partner's services. Review the partner's privacy notice for details about its practices and available controls.
Who May Receive Information
We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by service providers or disclosed when a valid legal demand requires it, including to:
- search partners that receive search terms;
- analytics providers;
- advertising networks; and
- law enforcement or another government body acting under lawful authority.
Security Limits
Reasonable security steps are used to protect information under our control. No internet-connected system is fully secure, however, and we cannot promise that data will never be exposed, lost, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may use the published Contact Us route to request its deletion. Do not send identity documents or other sensitive material unless it is needed to identify the submission.
Requests About Your Information
You may ask about information submitted directly to the site. Depending on what is held and what law permits, a request can seek:
- a copy of information associated with you;
- correction of information that is wrong;
- deletion of information that can be removed; or
- an opt-out from certain uses or processing.
Include the page URL and enough detail to find the data, but do not provide a full identity document when a less sensitive record or case reference will do. Requests to change an official booking or court record must go to the government custodian, not this site.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as the site's practices change. A new version will be posted here with its effective date.
